Quantuma names Chris Newell as UK head of restructuring and insolvency

Business advisory firm Quantuma has promoted Chris Newell as its UK head of restructuring and insolvency. Newell said he was “delighted to be taking on this new role”, and aims to continue to implement the firm’s growth plan across Britain.
Newell added, “I look forward to working with our other regional heads to help drive the business forward. We have exciting plans for our restructuring team which include a drive for quality lateral hires on a national basis. Earlier this year, we were joined by managing directors Sam Gaunt and Tom Parish in London, which has further strengthened our team. I look forward to adding further experts to our team, enabling us to further support even more business clients.”
Before joining Quantumain 2013, Newell spent three years with RSM, where he was latterly a director. He holds a bachelor of arts in accounting and finance from Leeds Beckett University. Newell regularly advises on a variety of matters ranging from informal insolvency solutions through to formal appointments. In parallel with his new role, he will retain his role as the regional lead for the Thames Valley area.
Newell takes up the role as Carl Jackson moves to the role of chair. A founding partner of Quantuma, he commands 30 years of experience in restructuring, and has supported a vast range of businesses across the corporate spectrum.
Jackson said of the news, “I am very pleased to hand over the reins for our growing Restructuring and Insolvency team to my colleague Chris Newell who I am certain will be a great leader in his new role. Chris brings boundless energy and positivity to the position, combined with a highly collaborative approach, so I am sure that his vision will drive even more positive results for the team, as we continue on our ambitious growth trajectory.”
