Develop Consulting launches online training firm click2 learn

Midlands advisory firm Develop Consulting has invested in a new online training company. Called click2 learn, the organisation will offer a 24/7 digital learning site, teaching individuals and members of SMEs about continuous improvement skills.

A method that relies on a collaborative team effort to improve performance, Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that helps businesses systematically remove waste, while improving consistency in delivery. According to Steve Boam, the CEO of Develop Consulting, Lean principles will be at the heart of the consultancy’s new e-learning line.

“As a consultancy we work with some incredible brands helping them to improve their organisations, streamline processes and introduce efficiency using the Lean methodology,” Boam explained.

“Within those organisations we also support and coach some amazing people who want to learn and develop themselves, their teams and foster a culture of continuous learning.”

The last two years of the pandemic have seen a major spike in the use of online learning services, as well as working from home. Feeding into this, click2 learn differentiates itself from other digital training offering online learning modules, delivered by leading industry experts on Lean and continuous improvement methodology – which its creators believe is a world-first – and second, offering an improved customer experience.

Boam noted that while there has been a boom in online learning recently, with “plenty of content online,” this was “mostly non-interactive and not very convenient for the learner.” Develop subsequently invested in click2 learn, and backed its Managing Director Dan Briscoe, helping him and his team to create interactive content, a user-friendly platform, and a delivery experience spanning “any time, any place and on any device.”

Based in Manchester, Briscoe draws on 20 years of experience as a consultant in Lean and Six Sigma, and has used it to create the training material, while also being supported by other industry experts from Develop Consulting. This has seen click2 learn produce courses that it claims are “as close to having a consultant in the room as possible,” and include real world scenarios and practical assignments for the learner to complete.

Speaking on click2 learn’s launch as part of the Develop Consulting group, Briscoe said, “I am thrilled to be opening this new venture with Develop Consulting… Throughout my career as a consultant have trained hundreds of individuals in continuous improvement tools and techniques, which has given me insight into how to make the subject engaging and useful to the learner, while making it more accessible for individuals and smaller firms.” 

Develop Consulting is a specialist improvement consultancy known for delivering targeted support in construction, manufacturing and healthcare sectors throughout the UK. The firm has bases in Coventry and Derby.

Briscoe added that Develop offers “fantastic onsite support” to clients, and this expertise has helped capture the “essence” of consulting knowhow in the our online material on offer, helping smaller firms and individuals apply skills “quickly to real world situations.”
