Develop Consulting becomes newest member of Aerospace Wales
As its members look to grow the sector beyond its national borders, Aerospace Wales has welcomed Develop Consulting to its membership. The consultancy will support the organisation’s members with Lean manufacturing principles.
Develop Consulting is an advisory firm focusing on applying lean principles, primarily in the manufacturing and healthcare spaces. However, it is increasingly broadening that scope – with its Toyota-trained Lean manufacturing expertise and proven MRO transformation capabilities proving an increasingly attractive offering to the defence and aerospace sectors.
The firm – which is gold-rated in the aviation category of the Consultancy.uk rankings – has subsequently become a trusted partner to the aerospace and defence community in Wales, which employs over 23,000 people and plays a vital role in the Welsh economy. In recognition of this, Develop has become the latest member of the Aerospace Wales industrial body.
The new membership was announced at a meeting at the MRO Europe Show in London. The meeting involved Develop Consulting’s CEO Steve Boam and aviation and manufacturing director Steve Clark, alongside John Whalley FRAeS, CEO of Aerospace Wales.

Collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of Wales’s aerospace and defence community. It will now use those skills to support Aerospace Wales’ mission, to elevate Wales’ aerospace sector on the global stage.
