Develop Consulting shortlisted for HSJ Partnership Award
Business transformation consultancy Develop Consulting has been shortlisted for Best Consultancy Partnership with the NHS at the 2026 HSJ Partnership Awards. The news comes after the firm helped to deliver “measurable improvements” across general practices in England.

Develop Consulting is an advisory firm focusing on applying lean principles, primarily in the manufacturing and healthcare spaces. Develop Consulting’s partnership with NHS England on "Transforming General Practice: Time, Access and Care" has supported over 1,000 practices through more than 15,000 improvement sessions across 40+ Integrated Care Boards over five years.
Practices taking part Develop Consulting’s programme have achieved a 5.1% reduction in avoidable appointments, on average have released over nine hours of clinical time per practice per week, and supported delivery of a 61% increase in online consultation system usage. By embedding Toyota Lean methodologies, the programme aims to deliver sustainable improvements in patient access, care quality, and operational efficiency.
The HSJ Partnership Awards recognise the strongest relationships between suppliers and the NHS. Develop Consulting was selected from over 240 entries following rigorous judging by a panel of influential healthcare leaders. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 19th March 2026 at Evolution London.
