Midlands based advisory firm Develop Consulting has opened an office in the heart of Derby. The move represents the launch of the firm’s second office, to help accommodate their rapidly expanding team.

Headquartered in Coventry, Develop Consulting is a professional services firm which focuses on the manufacturing and healthcare sectors. Since it was established in 2018, by a team of improvement experts with roots in Toyota motor manufacturing, the company has worked to provide process improvement advice to clients in the healthcare, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.

With many of its consultants working on sites across the UK, the firm has been enjoying rapid growth in demand for its healthcare specialists in particular.

The firm’s healthcare specialists have been working tirelessly over the past two years throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting GP practices who have been facing adaptations in legislation, policy and technology, and in order to build on that growth, Develop has opened a new office in Derby.

With Derby working as a base for the firm’s healthcare experts, the hub will give them somewhere to be able to deliver their training, as well as provide a base for them to work from, have face-to-face meetings and be another option to working from home.

According to Healthcare Director Simon Bricknell, the firm’s second UK office allows for additions to Develop Consulting’s headcount, too.

“Our team has expanded greatly over the last year or so, with eight new starters joining our team, and more to join throughout 2022,” Bricknell explained. “We wanted to be able to create a hub especially for our healthcare consultants who have been working so hard with GP surgeries. We really are thrilled to be able to open this new office and we look forward to being able to introduce more of a blended working option for our team.”

By the end of the year, Develop aims to recruit 15-20 new consultants to its team. Bolstering its healthcare service line further, this recently saw Danny Gregory appointed a managing consultant in the team.
