Develop Consulting strengthens healthcare team with Danny Gregory
Develop Consulting has strengthened its team with Danny Gregory, who joins the firm’s Healthcare practice.
The appointment kicks off Develop Consulting’s ambitious growth plan for 2022 – the Coventry-based consulting firm aims to recruit 15-20 new consultants to its team this year. Healthcare is one of the firm’s sectors of focus for the performance improvement specialist, with Danny Gregory appointed a managing consultant in the team.
Gregory brings around three decades of experience to the firm, gained in the aviation, manufacturing and healthcare sectors in the UK and internationally.
Prior to joining Develop Consulting, Gregory was a freelance consultant having previously worked for GE Aviation and more recently GE Healthcare. Predominantly working in the acute sector in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, he has an engineering background having also worked for British Aerospace and Rolls-Royce.
“Over the years I have held various roles in the aviation, manufacturing and healthcare sectors, so I’m able to bring my broad improvement experience and passion for Lean and process improvement into developing healthy teams within each of my projects to create value for clients,” said Gregory.
“I’d call myself a problem solver first and foremost, but joining Develop Consulting as a managing consultant I want to develop our service offerings on the acute side of the healthcare business and support our teams to ensure we deliver maximum value” he added.
Gregory was first introduced to the company through his involvement in the Productive General Practice Quick Start programme, and had an understanding of the company through his network.
“I was drawn to the size of the team and the company values really resonated with me, one of which is being better before bigger. For me the health of an organisation can be measured by the level of trust that exists and first impressions tell me Develop Consulting is very healthy,” he added.
Simon Bricknell, director of Develop Consulting’s Healthcare practice, said that the firm’s leadership knew “straight away that Danny would be a fantastic addition to the team.”
“The last two years have been incredibly busy for the healthcare sector which has faced one of its biggest challenges in its history. So, with Danny onboard and with his vast experience within consulting and the acute sector, we know he is going to be able to transfer his knowledge not only to our team but be invaluable to clients too.”
Among the projects Develop Consulting recently delivered in the sector include: helping a Pathology laboratory service provider adopt lean thinking, helping a hospital streamline its processes for patients, supporting a network of GP practices in the north of England with developing and launching a new system to administer flu vaccines, and helping a NHS organisation with implementing a complex change programme.
