New brand design for growing Develop Consulting
Lean advisory firm Develop Consulting has revealed a new brand identity. According to CEO Steve Boam, the rebranding showcases the firm’s “relentless pursuit of operational excellence” across its service offerings.
Boam added, “We really are heading in a strong direction… We wanted to show that from the boardroom to the hospital ward or shop floor, our consultants deliver real value to organisations through their support in implementing real change and improving efficiency, quality and delivery for every client we work with.”
Founded in 2018, Develop Consulting is a UK wide advisory firm which focuses on the manufacturing and healthcare sectors. The firm was established by a team of improvement experts with roots in Toyota motor manufacturing, the Coventry based company works to provide process improvement advice to clients in the healthcare, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
In the three years since its inception, Develop Consulting has been expanding at pace. In 2021, this accelerated further to support growing demand from clients. Following the recent arrival of Gary Wick and Simon Orton, autumn saw the firm launch a hunt for 20 new consultants across the three sectors.
In order to reflect the firm’s growth, and its changing ambitions resulting from the changes, Develop Consulting commenced a rebranding project. Working alongside Creative Director Steve Price for four months, this resulted in a new brand design, brand identity, mission, vision and values.
The new logo includes a blue X, which sits proudly above the firm’s name, and a tagline reading “Go further.” Price noted that the new design incorporated the ideas and views of the whole of Develop Consulting, when coming up with the new brand design.
He went on, “A new brand is more than just a new logo, it’s the process behind the design, colours, tag line and where the company then wants to position itself… The X icon in Develop Consulting’s new logo is an abstract depiction of the initials D & C. In algebra, X represents ‘a value not yet known’ which is appropriate for Develop’s client organisations on their journey toward being the best versions of themselves.”
Price further explained that the motto “Go further” also represents Develop Consulting’s desire to take a company further through its knowledge of the Lean methodology. Showcasing all the changes, the brand launch also includes a new website, company literature and client gifting.
Speaking on the launch, Boam concluded, “We are thrilled with our new branding as we feel it really reflects our vision for the future, and we are really looking forward to taking our clients along with us as we achieve excellence and help them go further.”
