Yin Lee has been named as a new Director in Quantuma’s London office. She will work with the firm’s restructuring and insolvency team across several sectors including sport, hospitality, and real estate.

Commenting on her appointment, Yin Lee said, “2021 is set to be another difficult year for organisations across a range of sectors as they attempt to survive and recover from the impact of the global pandemic. During this time, Quantuma has supported countless businesses across the UK on a range of sensitive and complex cases. I am excited to be joining at such a pivotal time for the firm, and to be working with a team dedicated to supporting businesses across the region.”

The pandemic and economic chaos of the last 12 months has seen a spike in demand for insolvency work – something which saw Quantuma perform strongly through 2020, and even attract financial backing for an expansion campaign. Since then, the firm has expanded its ranks with acquisitions and a number of key hires – of which Lee is the latest.

Quantuma appoints new Director in London teamLee will be based in Quantuma’s London office in Holborn and work with the firm’s restructuring and insolvency team across several sectors including sport, hospitality, and real estate. She arrives from David Rubin and Partners – a boutique insolvency practice where she acted on a range of corporate insolvencies. Lee is also a board member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, and prior to entering the insolvency field, Lee was a qualified solicitor.

Andrew Hosking, the Managing Director at Quantuma who heads the firm’s London office, added, “Yin brings a wealth of experience to the team, having dealt with a range of cases involving complex legal issues, which is further bolstered by her legal experience as a solicitor. She will be an incredibly valuable asset to the team over the coming months as we continue to expand our reach and services to businesses across the region.”

This news follows a significant period of growth for the firm both locally and globally. In London, Quantuma grew by more than 20% in the last 12 months, with key appointments including Fred Satow who joined the restructuring and insolvency team as director in November 2020. Meanwhile, further afield, the firm sealed several key acquisitions, including Alchemy in the Cayman Islands and Essex-based business management consultancy, Aspect Plus.
