Quantuma appoints Fred Satow as Director in London
Business advisory firm Quantuma has appointed Fred Satow as a Director in its London team. Satow brings more than 40 years of experience in professional services and insolvency work to the role.
Commenting on the news, Carl Jackson, CEO at Quantuma said, “Fred’s restructuring and insolvency experience will be incredibly invaluable to our firm and I am pleased he is joining what is a rapidly growing team in London.”
A chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner, Satow has gained four decades of experience in the restructuring and insolvency arenas, at a range of large and boutique firms. Most recently this saw him spend nine years as Corporate Recovery Director with MHA MacIntyre Hudson. In that role, he acted as joint administrator and liquidator for a number of major cases, including Wimbledon Development Finance, which resulted in the successful collection of £7 million in loans.
Prior to this, Satow spent three years as a Partner at Moorfields Corporate Recovery, and over a decade with PKF, where he came to hold the same role. From 1980 to 1992, he also worked in the audit, corporate restructuring and insolvency, solvent liquidations and corporate finance wings of PwC. Satow has also worked as an expert witness throughout his career, regularly acting in professional negligence and other insolvency-related cases, including a recent case with Clyde & Co, which saw another law firm face a very substantial claim.
Based in the firm’s London office, Fred will be working in the restructuring and insolvency team to develop the company’s Corporate Simplification practice, and advising a wide range of clients, including large corporates, SME businesses, lenders, venture capital houses, and solicitors. Alongside this, Satow will continue to act as an expert witness, and work closely with the firm’s forensic accounting and investigations team. His appointment will also help Quantuma to continue to expand its Corporate Simplification offering, working alongside the firm’s financial advisory and restructuring teams.
Commenting on his appointment, Fred Satow said, “Quantuma’s growth over the last few years is incredibly impressive, and I’m pleased to be joining the company at pivotal point in its journey. It is a difficult trading environment for many businesses across the UK and my goal will be to provide the best advice and support to those who are struggling during these incredibly difficult times.”
The appointment comes after a year of rapid expansion for Quantuma. Following a spike in demand for its staple line of restructuring, the firm attracted major investment earlier in the year from the AIM-listed K3 Capital Group.
