Quantuma expands into Wales with 16th UK office
Business advisory and turnaround specialist Quantuma has announced the launch of a new presence in Cardiff, marking its 16th location in the UK and its first in Wales. Newly appointed Director Paul Slevin will lead the firm’s expansion into the region, while also holding the roles of President and Chair at the South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in 2013 by Carl Jackson, Quantuma is a consulting firm which has since become a £25 million practice employing 250 staff. Until recently, the London headquartered firm had 15 UK offices, including a particularly strong presence in the South of England, with locations in Southampton, Marlow, Watford, Brighton and Bristol.
Now, following a period of significant geographical expansion, including its recent merger with Kingsland Business Recovery in Bradford, Birmingham and Nottingham and its first office in the North West at a site in Manchester, it has announced a new foray into Wales. In 2017-18, according to Government Expenditure and Revenue Wales 2019 data, estimated gross domestic product (GDP) in Wales was £70.6 billion.
This makes the Welsh economy the tenth largest of the UK's twelve areas, ahead of only Northern Ireland and the North East of England. In an age of economic uncertainty, demand for restructuring and business advisory services in the region is therefore likely to be high in the coming year.
Quantuma’s new Cardiff office will be led by new Director Paul Slevin, who brings more than 30 years’ experience in public and private sector roles, including healthcare, manufacturing and data service. Slevin will fulfill his new duties alongside his current role as President, Chair and Director at South and Mid-Wales Chamber of Commerce.
Paul Slevin, director at Quantuma Wales, said, “I believe that there is a growing demand amongst the Welsh business community for robust advisory services from a challenger brand such as Quantuma, which has demonstrated a clear ability to deliver a wide range of positive outcomes for clients. We actively encourage businesses facing signs of stress to seek early advice from our highly qualified and experience professionals to ensure they receive the appropriate support and guidance required to overcome signs of stress and return the business to full health.”
