PwC, CGI and Marsh sponsor Energy UK Conference

Tomorrow the Energy UK Annual Conference 2014 will kick-off in London. Several executives and managers active in the energy sector will travel to London to gain insight in the latest trends and developments in the energy sector. Consulting firm PwC serves as platinum sponsor of the event, CGI as gold sponsor, and Marsh as silver plus sponsor.

Energy UK is the trade association for the UK energy industry, consisting of 80 members including generators and suppliers of gas and electricity, and a variety of businesses operating in the energy industry, which together generate 90% of total electricity output in the UK. The association provides advice on matters and work in the energy industry to enhance its reputation with its customers.

Every year, Energy UK organises its Annual Conference during which latest trends and developments in the energy sector are discussed. This year’s conference that is themed ‘Affording the future: the economics of energy’ will focus on how the UK can balance affordability, clean generation and the flow of gas and electricity to consumers. The event is expected to be attended by all key players in the energy industry, including key government officials, influencers, generators and suppliers. Key note speakers of this year’s event include Angela Knight, Energy UK Chief Executive, Lord Spicer, Energy UK Chairman, Edward Davey, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, and Caroline Flint, Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.

The conference will take place tomorrow (Wed. 22 October) at One Great George Street in London.

For consulting firms, the conference provides the ideal moment to showcase their thought leadership, to learn from best practices from other experts in the field, and to come into contact with leaders in the energy industry. This year three consulting firms have grasped the opportunity and committed themselves to the Energy UK Conference as sponsor. An overview:

PwC: Big 4 firm PwC is this year’s main/platinum sponsor, and will, in addition provide a speech delivered by its Power & Utilities Sector Lead, Steve Jennings.
