BearingPoint opens offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

BearingPoint has expanded its operations into the United Arab Emirates with the opening of new offices in Dubai en Abu Dhabi. With the new locations BearingPoint aims at boosting its market share in the Middle East region and at providing better local consulting and technology services to its major global customers with a presence in the region.

"We serve our clients all around the globe. In countries outside our home territories we do this in part through our strategic alliances*. In addition, we open our own offices in regions in which our local and international clients see their future business potential. Thus, we go where our clients need us to be,” says Peter Mockler, Managing Partner of BearingPoint, on the client-driven expansion strategy of the consulting firm.

Local projects
In the case of the UAE, the decision to open local offices was mainly driven by the relationship the firm had with a number of large Arab-based organisations. One of those clients is Faisal Holding, a leading investment house in the Middle East, where BearingPoint currently is supporting the design and implementation of several large business and IT transformations. “The fact that our consulting partner in business transformations will now be present in the United Arab Emirates market is very important to us. For us this is an additional advantage in terms of further cooperation” says Sheikh Khaled bin Faisal Al Qassimi of Faisal Holding.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi - BearingPoint

In addition BearingPoint is currently supporting the UAE government with the development and roll-out of a new renewable energy strategy. The consulting firm for instance is designing an interactive information platform for renewable energy patents and moreover BearingPoint is ensuring that the change is sufficiently embedded within the energy community in the region. BearingPoint also has running projects for clients in the financial services as well as government and defense sectors.

Footprint in 18 landen
With the new offices in Dubai en Abu Dhabi BearingPoint grows its footprint to 32 offices in 20 countries. “The entry to the United Arab Emirates is another major milestone for BearingPoint,” states Mockler, referring to the two previous milestones that recently were realised: new offices in Ukraine and China.
