Leonard Curtis announces Variety as its charity of the year for 2026

As the season of good will continues in the lead up to Christmas, Leonard Curtis has become the latest consultancy to pledge support for a new charity. The organisation named Variety, the Children’s Charity as its charity of the year for 2026.

Commenting on the new partnership Dan Booth CEO at Leonard Curtis said: “At the heart of this choice is something very simple – every child deserves the chance to enjoy their childhood. Variety makes that possible for children who face huge challenges every single day. We’re honoured to stand beside them and do what we can to bring more joy, more opportunity, and more hope to families who need it most.”

Celebrating 75 years last year Variety provides practical support that makes an immediate difference to children. From specialist equipment and mobility aids to unforgettable experiences and accessible transport, Variety is dedicated to improving the lives of disabled children and their families – services which helped 160,000 children in 2025 alone.

Variety also provides Sunshine Coaches to schools and community groups across the UK, which is a lifeline for children to access activities outside school. In 2026 Variety will reach the incredible milestone of donating its 6,000th Sunshine Coach.

Leonard Curtis is one of the UK’s leading multi-discipline business advisory organisations with over 330 people in 30 locations across the UK and offshore. It specialises in restructuring, funding, legal, M&A advisory and a wide range of related business services for business owners and their advisors.

The announcement is a landmark partnership, as it is the first time the firm has set up a charity of the year partnership. Variety will now sit alongside The Leonard Curtis Foundation and Giving Back Days, an established employee-led programme of giving and volunteering at the firm. Meanwhile, over the next 12 months, the team at Leonard Curtis will work to fundraise and offer volunteering support for Variety’s mission.

Laurence Guinness, Variety CEO added, “Behind every donation is a child whose world opens up – whether that’s the freedom of a wheelchair that fits, or the happiness of joining in with friends. With support from Leonard Curtis, we’ll be able to change even more lives in very real and immediate ways.”
