Q5 named Pro Bono Company of the Year at Better Society Awards
Q5 has picked up an award for its efforts supporting the third sector. The firm was named pro bono company of the year at the 2026 Better Society Awards.
Better Society News is a news and analysis website, dedicated to reporting on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts of the private and not-for-profit sectors. For the last 11 years, this has seen the network organise the Better Society Awards, aiming to reward commercial companies who are helping create a better, more equal, ethical and sustainable world for all.
Among the winners this year, UK consultancy Q5 has been lauded as pro bono company of the year. The prize reflects the growing impact of the Q5 Foundation – which has supported more than 220 organisations since 2020.
Q5 Foundation
First launched in 2009, Q5 is a global management consulting firm that specialises in organisational health. With offices in London, Leeds, Cardiff, New York, Sydney, Melbourne, Oman and Houston – as well as joint ventures in place in France, Sweden, Italy and Germany, Q5 is able to serve a range of businesses; from multinational players to small, family firms. It also supplies a host of pro bono services to non-profits around the world – supported through its Q5 Foundation.
Founded in 2010, the Q5 Foundation aims to tackle economic inequality and poverty. It extends our charitable work beyond our core consulting business, with a dedicated team working each year to drive initiatives to assist vulnerable people entering the workforce, start business initiatives, and provide executive coaching services free of charge in the third sector.
After Q5 celebrated another year of impact, publishing its annual Impact Report earlier in 2026, this award reiterates that growing influence.
Commenting on the victory, Emma Hakansson, early careers lead at Q5, said via LinkedIn, “Since 2020, we’ve supported 227 organisations globally, with 196 through Pop Up Consulting alone. In 2025, our teams delivered over £1.2 million of pro bono consulting, powered by over 80 Q5ers. And the momentum is building, in just the first four months of 2026, 54 Q5ers have already contributed 1,665+ hours, delivering around £330,000 of support to partner organisations. Congratulations as well to the other nominees and winners from the evening.
