Moorhouse names Ed Charlish as Partner
Business advisory Moorhouse has announced the appointment of Ed Charlish to the firm’s partnership. The move comes as part of the firm’s latest round of promotions.
On his promotion, Charlish commented, “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the Partner team. Making Partner is a big step in anyone’s career, and I couldn’t be happier that it is with Moorhouse. I’m really proud to work for an organisation that truly lives its values through the way it operates internally and with its clients.”
As the lead for the energy and utilities sector with Moorhouse, Charlish has helped build the capability at a time of rising demand. Going forward as Partner, he will continue to shape the future of the firm’s energy and sustainability teams, while also more widely supporting the growth of the business.
Charlish joined Moorhouse in October 2016, originally in the transport team, before then moving to his current sector. The team he has since built was even specifically recognised in the recent 2023 Financial Times Management Consultant report.

The announcement came alongside a number of further promotions to Moorhouse’s leadership team. Helen Richardson was elevated to Client Director and will now focus on driving the company’s people and change service offering. Richard Waters is also promoted to Client Director, having led the development and go-to-market strategy for Moorhouse’s sustainability proposition, and has made a huge impact on the business in a short space of time, having led a number of sustainability projects across industry sectors. Finally, Lauren Nicholls becomes a Principal, as a member of the energy and utilities team, additionally contributing as lead for equality and diversity at the firm.
Established in 2004, Moorhouse is a transformation consultancy which works to deliver complex transformational projects. Since its purchase by Expleo Group (formerly Software Quality Systems) in 2018, the firm has been looking to ramp up its operations in the UK with a number of senior hires. At the start of the year, this saw Richard Brackstone named Managing Partner at Moorhouse.
