Laura Mersinger Chief Marketing Officer of Alsbridge
Sourcing advisory firm Alsbridge has appointed Laura Mersinger to the role of Chief Marketing Officer, a newly crafted role within the firm.
Laura Mersinger has over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development. She started her career in 2002 with technology provider Insigh, where she spent six years in account management roles. Between 2008 and 2014 Mersinger worked for software solutions firm MoreDirect, Advocate Sherman Hospital (a hospital based in Elgin, Illinois) and Information Services Group, where she most recently was responsible for designing and executing business development activities across a variety of industry verticals, including Utility, Energy, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Media and Retail.
In the summer of 2014 Mersinger embarked on a new challenge, and joined Alsbridge, a consulting firm with over 300 consultants on four continents. At the firm she was named Vice President of Sales and Marketing, responsible for developing and implementing multi-faceted marketing campaigns, as well as managing Alsbridge’s internal sales team. 1.5 years down the line Mersinger has now been promoted to the role of Chief Marketing Officer, a newly created position at the management consultancy, which according to the firm, is designed to enable an “enhanced focus on strategic marketing” initiatives.
Commenting on her new challenge, Mersinger says she is “excited by the opportunity”, adding that she aims at taking the firm’s “marketing activity to the next level.” Mersinger: “Our goal is to make the marketing function a strategic business partner and an integral contributor to Alsbridge’ success. We have a compelling story to tell, and I’m looking forward to working with our team to develop and execute effective and targeted programs, continually improve and enhance our digital presence, ensure that our content resonates with key audiences and increase our visibility.”
Chip Wagner, CEO of Alsbridge, reflects on the appointment: “This new role will allow her to focus on her key strengths of marketing strategy, campaign development and management, evaluation and monitoring and alignment of marketing activity to business objectives and priorities and sales results.”
