Mike Horton joins Quantuma's financial advisory practice
Business advisory firm Quantuma has installed Mike Horton as a Director in its financial advisory practice. He brings almost two decades of experience to the role, having held a series of senior restructuring positions throughout his career.
Commenting on his arrival, Mike Horton said, "I've been very impressed by the pace at which Quantuma's team in the North West and the firm's wider financial advisory practice has grown over the last few years and I'm excited to be joining a firm whose reputation has gone from strength-to-strength.”
Businesses are entering a critical period where they will need to access advice to help them navigate financial and operation challenges post pandemic – something which is likely to see Quantuma enjoy a further spike in demand on the back of a strong 2020. Horton will be an important part of Quantuma’s response to that demand, bringing more than 18 years of experience to the firm working in the financial services sector, spending over half of his career advising businesses exhibiting signs of financial distress or entering a formal insolvency process.
Most recently, Horton was a Senior Manager with the recoveries portfolio of peer-to-peer lender Assetz Capital. He also spent time as a Credit Risk Manager with Co-op Bank, after a 13 year spell with RBS – where he was latterly Corporate Manager in the bank’s Global Restructuring Group.
Robert Parry, Managing Director at Quantuma, stated, "The regional economy has faced significant challenges over the last 12 months and throughout this time, our team has remained committed to supporting the businesses affected. Growing our team is a natural step for us and will allow us to support more businesses than ever across the region. We are pleased to welcome Mike who will be an excellent addition to our Manchester team."
The news comes on the back of a strong period of growth for Quantuma’s North West team. In 2020, this saw the company grow its regional profile with the purchase of Manchester based insolvency specialist Bell Advisory – adding significant clout to Quantuma’s Manchester office, which was already the firm’s sixth largest.
