Quantuma relocates Thames Valley team to Maidenhead
Quantuma has announced the relocation of its 40-strong Marlow office to Maidenhead. The move in the Thames Valley comes as the firm reports 10% year-on-year team growth in the region.
Chris Newell, Managing Director at Quantuma, said, “We’re extremely pleased to expand our Thames Valley operations as we look to provide local businesses with the support they need during this challenging period. Our move to Maidenhead will enable us to accommodate a busy pipeline, offering a broader range of advisory services to the region’s businesses, with the objective of driving growth back into the local and national economy.”
Quantuma has taken an entire floor at Arcadia House, a recently refurbished Grade A building in central Maidenhead. The move will see all 40 professionals from the firm’s Thames Valley team – previously based in Marlow – relocate.
The Maidenhead office will now operate a complete advisory service – including restructuring advisory, insolvency and corporate finance – making it well-placed to assist organisations and individuals who will need to manage a range of operational and financial challenges in 2021. It will be headed up by Managing Directors Frank Wessely and Chris Newell, working alongside Ian Barton, a Managing Director in the firm’s corporate finance team.
Wessely stated, “The move from Marlow to Maidenhead demonstrates our commitment to supporting the professionals and businesses in the Thames Valley and Buckinghamshire regions during what is set to be a difficult year ahead. The new open plan office makes it ideal for flexible and safe working conditions, while its location, close to the town centre and major transport links, is ideal for direct connections to the city, central London and the West Country. Not only will this move set us in better stead for clients but will also provide greater access to the talent market in the region to support future growth.”
The relocation comes as Quantuma’s Thames Valley team experienced an exceptionally busy Q4 2020, with three transactions completed by its corporate finance team in the last two weeks of the year, including advising Marlow-based Whistl on its acquisition of e-fulfilment provider Clientbase. At the same time, a series of key appointments in the region over the past 12 months has seen the firm report 10% year-on-year team growth in the Thames Valley region. Arrivals included directors Nick Parsk and Michael Hall, who joined Quantuma last year, bringing almost 40 years’ experience to the firm, working closely with Jo Leach as resident director.
