Michael Vallance bolsters Banking practice of Capco
Capco has boosted its Banking practice with the appointment of Financial Services expert Michael Vallance as Managing Principal. Vallance, who has extensive experience in the banking sector, including at Citi and Santander, will cover Capco’s Transaction Banking & Payments clients.
Michael Vallance joins Capco from Caxton FX, a foreign exchange, international payments and prepaid card provider, where he acted as Interim Product Launch Director for short period. Between 2007 and 2014, Vallance worked for Citi Group. During this time, he fulfilled several management roles, including Managing Director of Business Development, Global Product Head and Global Market Management Head. Before joining Citi, he was the Head of Strategy & Development at Banco Santander. From 1999 to 2005, Vallance was employed by Barclays, first as Product Director, Liquidity & Investment and later as Sales & Marketing Director for Barclaycard Business. Other roles held include that of Interim Consultant at Kensington Mortgages and Investment Executive at Baronsmead.
Vallance will leverage his many years of experience in the banking sector for his new role at Capco, and will, as Managing Principal in the firm’s Banking Consultancy practice, focus on Transaction Banking & Payments.
For Capco, Vallance is the sixth senior addition to its UK team in a year’s time. Earlier this year, the firm added Rob Morgan as Partner to its Payments practice. In December 2014, Ian Bentinck re-joined the firm as a partner, while former Barclays COO Jonathan Rose was added to the leadership team in October 2014 and Paul Trotter and James Arnett during the summer of 2014.
