Southwark London Borough Council, one of London’s largest and most diverse councils, has hired professional services firm BDO to provide internal audit and risk management services. BDO has signed a contract for four years after which a bidding process will follow.

The new partnership, which was signed earlier this month, will see the accounting and consulting firm provide the Southwark Council with a range of internal audit, counter fraud and risk management services.

The contract, which was provided following a competitive tender process, has a duration of four years. The firm will be working closely with Mike Pinder, the Council’s Head of Anti-Fraud and Internal Audit, to align efforts to combat fraud, among others.
