WSP contracted by Wiltshire Council to support highway design across county
WSP has secured Wiltshire Council’s new six-year highways consultancy contract. The engineering advisory will support the council across the planning, design and delivery of highways and transport infrastructure from December 2026.

Centred around a locally based team operating from Trowbridge, the partnership will bring day-to-day leadership, technical expertise and decision-making closer to the people and places the contract will serve. The appointment will see WSP support the council in the planning, design and delivery of safe, sustainable and efficient highways and transport infrastructure across Wiltshire.

With over 12,100 professionals across the UK and Ireland and approximately 83,000 professionals operating in over 50 countries, WSP helps deliver projects in the transportation, infrastructure, environment, building, energy, water, and mining and metals sectors.
Drawing on WSP’s local authority highways experience across the South West and wider UK, the firm will now work to provide practical, place-based outcomes for residents, and businesses. This includes supporting local employment, training and development opportunities, engagement with local businesses and wider benefits for Wiltshire communities.
The contract will commence in December 2026 and has an initial duration of six years, with options to extend for up to a maximum of ten years, subject to performance and council approval.
