AlixPartners & Kurt Salmon veteran joins Body Central
Body Central Corporation has appointed Bryan Eshelman, a former partner at AlixPartners and Vice President at Kurt Salmon, to its Board of Directors.
Founded in 1972, Body Central Corporation is a specialty retailer that offers apparel and accessories at value prices. The firm currently has 275 apparel stores in 28 US states under the Body Central and Body Shop labels, as well as a direct business comprised of a Body Central catalog. The retailer mainly targets women in their late teens to mid-thirties from diverse cultural backgrounds.
As of the 1st of August Body Central Corporation has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors, including Bryan Eshelman (42). Eshelman has extensive retail and consulting experience in the areas of sourcing and production, information technology, distribution, and logistics. After graduating, he started his career at Kurt Salmon, where he spent more than 15 years, in his last role as Vice President. At the consulting firm Eshelman focused mainly on clients in the retail and FMCG sector.
In 2008 he left Kurt Salmon to join counterpart AlixPartners, where he was a partner in the retail practice. Over the past few years Eshelman served as EVP & Chief Supply Chain Officer at Charming Shoppes and as Chief Operating Officer at Aldo Group.
Bryan Eshelman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of Virginia, as well as an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
