CIL completes commercial due diligence mandates in industrial sector

It has been a few busy start to 2026 for the industrials-focused M&A team at CIL Strategy Consultants. The firm has recently highlighted eight of its M&A mandates completed in the first half of the year – half of which were in the mainland UK.

UK

Most recently, RSK acquired HV Energy Systems, a provider of grid connection infrastructure for renewable energy. CIL Strategy Consultants provided commercial due diligence to support RSK on its investment in the UK business. The acquisition reinforces the group’s integrated service offer, while retaining HVES’s delivery-led operating model.

CIL Strategy Consultants provided commercial due diligence to support Baird Capital on its acquisition of Rapid Energy. UK-based Rapid Energy, a specialist provider of emergency and planned temperature-control hire solutions. Baird Capital’s investment in the HVAC hire firm will allow for an acceleration of growth for Rapid Energy across nationwide industrial and critical-infrastructure markets by supporting an expansion of fleet and  enhancement of engineering capability.

Another commercial due diligence role saw CIL support Apax on its strategic investment in London-headquartered Sedex. A global leader in supply chain risk management solutions, Sedex was founded to make global supply chains more ethical and sustainable – to protect workers, reduce risk and drive lasting improvement across the industries and geographies. Apax will now support Sedex’s expansion across markets, sectors and product capability as supply chain scrutiny intensifies globally.

When Celnor Group purchased health and safety compliance services firm Dynamic Safety Solutions, CIL was again on hand with due diligence support for the buyer. Dynamic Safety Solutions strengthens Celnor’s ability to deliver integrated risk management solutions for clients across multiple sectors.

US

The APEM Group began life as a campus start-up consultancy in Manchester, UK in 1987. Over three decades, it has grown to a global environmental consultancy, providing a comprehensive range of integrated niche services for clients across Europe, the US, Australia, and Asia. The purchase of CSA Ocean Science in the US allows it to further expand its marine environmental consultancy services across the Atlantic. Again, CIL provided due diligence to the buy-side, supporting APEM through the deal.

Also in the US, Lindsey Systems has announced that it has received a major investment by First Reserve, a leading private equity firm. Drawing on its experience across utility, power, and engineered products markets, First Reserve is ready to partner closely with Lindsey Systems, to support the growth it needs to support its growing client base. CIL offered due diligence to First Reserve on the investment.

Europe

CIL aided commercial due diligence efforts for EVAARO, backed by MML Keystone, on its acquisition of German firm Keg Logistics, and complementary Canadian firm North Keg, too. EVAARO is a sustainable circular beverage keg management platform, providing beverage producers across the UK, Ireland, US, Canada and Europe with pooled, leased, and serviced container solutions.

And Walkers Transport, a leading UK palletised freight and logistics business, has been sold to WS Holdco, a portfolio company of Isle-of-Man-based DBAY Advisors. CIL supported DBAY with its due diligence work.
