NHS SBS joins management consultancy framework for public sector
A consulting firm with origins in the National Health Service has been appointed to a key government consulting framework. NHS Shared Business Services will provide support to public sector bodies across four lots of the Crown Commercial Service’s management consultancy framework.
NHS Shared Business Services is a joint venture company in the UK, formed between the NHS Business Services Authority, the French IT services company Sopra Steria, and, formerly, the Department of Health. Initially founded in 2005 to provide a more efficient method of supplying business services to the National Health Service; by supplying many trusts it claims to have achieved cost savings of 30% due to benefits from economies of scale, it provides back office services such as accounting, procurement, payroll and managed IT to NHS organisations.
Now, NHS SBS will take that expertise beyond its original field of expertise. Securing a spot as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Management Consultancy Framework Four (MCF4), it has solidified its role in supporting UK public sector organisations with its consultancy services.
“Our appointment to MCF4 reflects NHS SBS’s proven ability to deliver impact in complex environments, helping public sector and healthcare organisations navigate change and transform with confidence,” says Alice Donovan-Hart, Director of Consulting, NHS SBS.
The MCF4 framework provides public sector organisations across the UK, including the NHS, local authorities, educational institutions and central government departments with fast, compliant access to trusted advisory services that drive smarter operations and improved outcomes for the communities they serve. NHS SBS will deliver tailored consultancy across lot one for business, lot four for finance, lot five for HR and lot six for procurement and supply chain services.
Donovan-Hart added, “Whether it’s redesigning services, strengthening financial planning, or unlocking workforce potential, we’re here to help them move forward with purpose and precision and to be resilient in the face of change and transformation. We welcome and look forward to working in partnership with clients across the public sector.”
