Tensing UK selected for Crown Commercial Service cloud framework

The UK wing of Tensing has been added to the Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud 14 framework. The firm will now appear as an appointed supplier on the government’s procurement platform.
With public scrutiny being applied to public spending, the UK Government is looking to ensure value for money with regards to its consulting budget. One way it traditionally has done this, is via procurement frameworks, which select a range of approved consulting firms, which public sector bodies can contract for their projects.
Launched in late-2024, the G-Cloud 14 framework is the latest iteration of this. All public sector organisations and charities can use the online catalogue to buy cloud-based computing services, including hosting, software, cloud support, and many off-the-shelf, pay-as-you-go cloud solutions – until April 2026.
As it continues to strengthen its offering in the UK, geospatial data consultancy Tensing has announced it has been appointed to the list, by the Crown Commercial Service. Known for its GIS system, which is being deployed by utilities and energy firms to help drive their net-zero efforts, public organisations can now tap Tensing UK for its geospatial services in cloud hosting, cloud software, and cloud support.
"This is a major step forward in our mission to provide geospatial data consultancy services to the public sector," commented Oliver Morris, business director of Avineon-Tensing UK. “We’re excited to help public sector organisations utilise the FME Platform with its array of sophisticated, scalable and accessible ETL and Data Integration tools.”
Tensing’s cloud software solutions available via the framework include FME (also known as Feature Manipulation Engine) training, consultancy services, and enterprise platform deployment, upgrade and configuration work. In cloud hosting, as
a managed service provider the consultancy offers comprehensive support, management, and maintenance for the FME Flow Hosted Platform. And in cloud support, the firm looks to help the public sector make data work more intelligently by supporting both new solutions and enhancing existing projects, with services including data migration and integration, data optimisation and monitoring, and project consultancy support, among others.
