Board of Cadence Innova obtains chartered status in SME-first

Cadence Innova has become the first small or mid-sized enterprise to have its whole board achieve chartered consulting status. The whole team, including its chair individually obtained the Chartered Management Consultant award offered by the Chartered Management Institute and the Management Consultancies Association.

Founded in 2007, Cadence Innova is a consultancy focused on public service transformation. Specialising in change consulting, the advisory firm works with clients across education, justice and security, transport and infrastructure, health, housing and communities, central government, financial services and private sector suppliers to government.

The Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) accreditation is the highest industrial qualification in the management consulting profession. Launched by the sector’s representative body, the Management Consultancies Association (MCA), in collaboration with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the award aims to provide a professional standard of career excellence that was for a long time absent from the UK management consulting scene.

Receiving the ChMC recognises consistent and high levels of professional competency and achievement. As such, the achievements of Founding Partner Jane Barrett, and board members Tricia Phillips, Gita-Singham Willis, Gary Ashby, and John Hoffmire was already impressive enough – before considering the size of the firm they represent. The MCA represents firms of all shapes and sizes, but Cadence Innova is the first UK SME to have seen its whole board obtain chartered status.
