Cadence Innova appoints Tricia Phillips as Head of Consulting
Tricia Phillips has been appointed as Head of Consulting at public service transformation advisory firm Cadence Innova. She brings three decades of experience to the role.
Following the announcement, Tricia Phillips commented, “This is a really exciting time for Cadence as we continue to pursue our purpose to make peoples’ lives better, communities more connected and enterprises more sustainable. I am proud to be given this role as it allows me to work more closely with our very talented team.”
Founded in 2007, Cadence Innova is a consultancy focused on public service transformation. Specialising in change consulting, Cadence Innova works with clients across education, justice and security, transport and infrastructure, health, housing and communities, central government, financial services and private sector suppliers to government.
Phillips joined Cadence Innova in 2020 following a career in diverse advisory and leadership positions. As Head of Consulting, her key goal is to establish the firm’s brand positioning and reputation in the market. She will now take on accountability for a newly established area of operation, as well as the wider organisation, as part of the leadership team and the firm’s board.
“Tricia’s appointment represents the first move of the organisational changes we are putting in place to grow and strengthen our business, and we at Cadence Innova are really excited about the future as we start this journey”, said Gita Singham-Willis, Founding Partner at Cadence Innova.
The promotion of Phillips sees her step up as the company's first Head of Consulting, after the consultancy created the new role this year. Cadence Innova is part-owned by its members, with over half of the workforce female, and women represent three-quarters of its leadership team.
Gita Singham-Willis concluded, “I’m delighted to welcome Tricia to the leadership team as we bring Cadence Innova’s big picture vision to life. She has already demonstrated the impact on the organisation through her strategic thinking and customer-centric approach, and I’m looking forward to turning our ambitious plans into reality together.”
The public sector currently faces a number of historic, systemic challenges. Under-resourced government departments face the impacts of Brexit, Covid-19 and the increasing impact of climate change, while having to manage slender budgets, and reckon with a tightening labour market. As such, demand for consulting firms that can help public entities adapt and improve has risen steeply – with the public sector becoming the UK’s second largest buyer of consulting firms, behind financial services.
