Digital consulting firm Cynozure has appointed a new director in its data culture and literacy practice. Louise Hutchins will now help clients to develop the skills needed to get the most from new technology such as AI.

Founded by CEO Jason Foster in 2016, Cynozure is a digital technology and data analytics consultancy. With offices on either side of the Atlantic, the young firm has since enjoyed growth of more than 122% over its last two financial years. This recently saw it listed in the Fast Growth 50, as the 14th quickest expanding private enterprise in London.

Much of this expansion has been driven by demand from clients, seeking help with maximising gains from data and AI technology. Last year, Cynozure sought to meet this demand with its CLEAR framework, drawing on insights from industrial and organizational psychology. The five CLEAR principles – Communicate, Lead, Educate, Act and Relate – serve as a comprehensive pathway for nurturing a data-centric culture.

At the same time, the firm is hiring to help build capacity for further demand. At the start of 2024, this has seen the firm appoint Louise Hutchins. She joins the business as a director, and will lead on the evolution of its literacy and culture change services, and ensure that its clients have the behaviours, skills, capabilities and approach needed to deliver value from data and AI.

Tim Connold, Product and Customer Director at Cynozure, commented, “Culture change and data literacy have been a huge area of growth for our business in the last 12 months, as businesses look to better equip their teams with the right skills to maximise the value from data and AI and stay ahead of the competition. We are delighted to welcome Louise on board and continuing to support our clients to thrive in this digital age.”

Prior to joining Cynozure, Hutchins held senior positions in customer experience, product management, CRM, loyalty, and data capabilities at a number of companies, including Reach Strategy, Swapi, and Marks & Spencer. She has also worked as a consultant with clients spanning a wide range of industries.

Last year, Cynozure also boosted its offering with the appointment of Ashley Walker as the firm’s marketing director. The move came as Cynozure moved to expand its senior team, and build on its earlier momentum.
