Leigh Davenport joins Azets as partner
UK accounting and consulting firm Azets has installed Leigh Davenport as a partner in the company’s tax wing. He will work to support the firm’s continued growth, and meet increased demand for specialist tax advice from clients in Yorkshire.

He brings a wealth of tax experience and Leigh’s skills will allow us to further support clients across a multitude of sectors, as well as develop the teams, in line with our growth strategy.”
Based in Leeds, Davenport’s role at Azets will be to provide practical support to a diverse range of SME clients, as well as managing complex tax issues, accessing relevant tax incentive opportunities and implementing tax planning. He will work alongside Azets nationally on its work within private equity. His appointment is part of the wider growth plan for Azets, where the company looks to further strengthen and expand its regional coverage and capabilities.
Established in 2016, Azets is a business advisory and accounting firm headquartered in London. The company has since grown to more than 165 offices globally, with some 7,000 staff working with 120,000 clients. The company’s rapid growth has been backed by UK private equity investor Hg – a specialist investor in European and transatlantic software and services businesses – since its inception.
Davenport arrives to bolster that growth with 25 years of experience in the professional services sector. A chartered accountant, he has spent a quarter of a century working within the industry’s Big Four. Most recently, this saw him work as a senior tax manager at KPMG, advising some of Yorkshire’s largest public and privately-owned businesses, from family and owner-managed to private equity-backed and listed companies. Previously, he was also a tax manager with PwC.
