Azets appoints Matt Garside and Lyle Ammon as directors in Debt Advisory team
Professional services firm Azets has appointed two new directors in its Debt Advisory business: Matt Garside and Lyle Ammon.
Matt Garside works out of the firm’s Edinburgh office, covering the Scottish region. He joins from Skipton Business Finance, and previously spent over a decade at several financial institutions including Virgin Money (Clydesdale Bank), Barclays Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest.
“The appointment of Matt as a debt advisory director reflects the increased demand from businesses in Scotland for structured finance packages that can lessen cost pressures and unlock new opportunities,” said Greig McKnight, regional managing director for Azets in Scotland.
Lyle Ammon comes from Birthstone Markets (part of the Marex Group) and will be based out of the firm’s London and Maidstone offices. He previously worked at Investec and ABN Amro, as well as setting up and selling his own invoice finance advisory business.
Nick Parrett, regional managing director for Azets in the South, said: “Lyle’s appointment as a debt advisory director is well timed – there is clear demand from firms in the South for new finance packages which meet their expenditure requirements in a tough trading environment.”
Mark Barrie, National Head of Debt Advisory at Azets, added: “The appointments reflect debt-market demand we are seeing across the UK from businesses of all sizes. Matt and Lyle are highly experienced professionals who provide clients with commercial, strategic finance packages, from invoice financing and asset-based lending to raising new and additional finance.”
With the arrival of the duo, the Debt Advisory business now has a team of ten experts covering England, Scotland and Wales.
