Azets appoints Lee Humble as Head of Corporate Finance for UK

National accounting and advisory firm Azets has appointed Lee Humble as its new Head of Corporate Finance in the UK.

Lee Humble has been with Azets since April 2022, when he joined through the acquisition of Tait Walker in the North East. He joined as a partner and has since led the North East Corporate Finance practice to its second successive year of record results.

In a LinkedIn that went viral (>900 likes at the time of writing), Humble stated: “As the fifth most active deal team in the UK, I am honoured to take on this role and build out our business which already benefits from a superb team of advisors. We have great plans and we look forward to realising these in the coming period.”

Newcastle-based Humble brings over a decade of corporate finance experience to the role. He also held roles as a business owner, in senior leadership roles within banking, and in audit (at PwC), working across London and the North East. He specialises in transactions, growth, and funding advice.

Earlier this year, Azets was named on the UK’s leading M&A consultancies for 2023.

The appointment comes a month after Azets welcomed PAI Partners as a new shareholder. Together with existing financial sponsor Hg (both backers hold an equal share), the two private equity groups aim to lift Azets into its next phase of growth. The SME-focused accounting and advisory firm currently has revenues of around £1.5 billion.
