Azets appoints Laura Duggan as Partner
Audit and advisory firm Azets has appointed Laura Duggan as a Partner to strengthen its corporate tax services offering in the North West. Duggan is based in Azets’s Manchester office, covering the firm’s six offices in the region.
Even after all that, Azets is not resting on its laurels, either. The senior appointments follow another announcement from the company, pledging to undertake a national recruitment drive which will see Azets add 900 roles across the UK business in the coming 12 months.
Duggan joins the firm as a Partner, bringing more than 18 years of experience to the firm. She particularly brings expertise across a wide range of corporate and personal taxes for the owner managed business sector advising on all tax aspects from the company through to its shareholders and their personal taxes.
Rob Wardle, Head of Tax at Azets in the North West, commented, “Laura brings considerable expertise and a strong track record in advising companies, entrepreneurs, wealthy individuals and their families on all aspects of corporate tax, inheritance tax and other personal tax matters. Her experience as a founder and entrepreneur will be a great asset to our clients giving her a unique insight and understanding of the challenges they often face.”
Duggan spent the last eight years as Director at R&D Tax Solutions, a firm she founded. With her blend of experience and entrepreneurialism, she will both be able to advise high-net worth individuals, SMEs, and owner-managed businesses, while also supporting Azets’ clients in navigating changes to current tax legislation.
Duggan added, “I’m excited to join the well regarded tax team at Azets at a time when the business is undergoing a rapid expansion and work with their varied client base.’’
