Actuarial and administration consultancy Barnett Waddingham has appointed George Norval as a Senior Pension Management Consultant. He will help the firm expand its trustee executive services offering.

Barnett Waddingham has 147 qualified actuaries, appointed to over 330 DB pension schemes. The firm provides the full range of actuarial services to trustees of defined benefit (DB) pension schemes, ranging from strategic to operational, across all of its nine offices, with fund sizes ranging from £1 million to over £5 billion.

As a large schemes specialist, George Norval will support Barnett Waddingham’s largest clients in finding solutions to industry challenges and aid trustee boards in reaching the highest governance standards. This includes compliance with TPR’s new Code of Practice.

Also boasting experience building infrastructure, hiring and developing talent and creating various initiatives for schemes, Norval arrives with over 20 years of experience in senior pensions roles.

These include Group Pension Manager within Berendsen, and Senior Pensions Executive within financial services firm Pegasus Pensions. Over the years he has worked with a variety of trustee boards and pension schemes of various sizes including complex multi-billion schemes.
