Leading professional services consultancy Barnett Waddingham has relocated its Glasgow office to flagship city development Cadworks. The move aims to cement the firm’s strategic growth ambitions in Scotland, along with underlining its commitment to sustainable business practices.

Andrew Vaughan, senior partner, Barnett Waddingham (BW), said, "This relocation to Cadworks marks a significant investment and demonstrates our long-term commitment to our Scottish clients. As part of Howden, we are stronger together, and this move positions us perfectly to deliver enhanced service to our clients while supporting our team’s continued growth. With this move, we are committed to securing better futures for clients, colleagues, and communities across Scotland.”

Comprising of over 1,700 people, with a national presence across multiple UK offices, BW is a consultancy specialising in risk, pensions, investment, and insurance. Since its acquisition by global insurance and employee benefits intermediary group Howden in April 2025, the firm has been seeking to expand its footprint across its markets – with acquisitions and hiring campaigns of its own.

In Glasgow, this has seen BW move from its previous home on West George Street, to the seventh floor of the building, which is one of the most sustainable office developments in the UK and the first net zero office building in the city. BW has been based in Glasgow since 2003, and will now use the expanded office to grow its diverse service offerings of pensions, risk, insurance, and investment.

Barry McKay, head of public sector and Glasgow Office Lead, Barnett Waddingham, added, "Our new home at Cadworks provides the perfect platform for our next phase of growth in Scotland. This fantastic central location gives us the space and capability to expand our services while building on the close client relationships that have been central to our success here for over two decades.”
