Chaucer buys digital advisory boutique Anagram Consulting
Within three months of acquiring Medley, digital transformation consultancy Chaucer has closed another deal with the purchase of London-based boutique Anagram Consulting.
The bolt-on of Anagram Consulting adds a team of around 10 consultants to its headcount, led by Jeremy Milward and Ian Stuart, who co-founded Anagram Consulting in 2016 following a career at global groups such as Infosys Consulting, PwC and Accenture.
The consulting boutique specialises in digitals and technology strategy, customer transformation and digital product development across five main sectors: consumer & retail, life sciences, energy & utilities, media & telecom and financial services. The firm also works with private equity clients and their portfolio companies on due diligence validation and performance improvement.
“Anagram Consulting is a great addition for the Chaucer family, who will complement and enhance our digital advisory and delivery capability. I am looking forward to the value our combined businesses can bring to all our clients,” said Chris Laslett, who co-founded Chaucer over thirty years ago and has been the firm’s chief executive officer since 2012.
He added that the deal marks the “next step” in the firm’s growth path, which saw Chaucer previously acquire Medley Business Solutions in December 2020 and become part of Italian group BIP (July 2020) to create a €350 million-strong advisory powerhouse.
Founded in 1987, UK consulting firm Chaucer currently has over 300 professionals working from offices in London, New York and Houston. Its parent BIP has over 3,000 staff worldwide.
Meanwhile, for Anagram Consulting, the joining of forces will enable the firm to “provide a truly differentiated offering for our clients” and “provide with a great home for our team” said co-founder Jeremy Milward.
