Barnett Waddingham grows insurance consulting team
Barnett Waddingham has boosted its insurance consulting team with the appointment of John Hoskin and Audrey Van Rensburg. The additions to the team are intended to help the firm continue to grow its services offered to insurance companies.
John Hoskin joins Barnett Waddingham from Towers Watson, where he worked for almost 11 years, rising to Senior Consultant. During his time at the firm, Hoskin developed expertise in relation to regulation and the management of unit-linked business. In addition to his new role, he is also the Actuarial Function Holder for two insurance companies. Hoskin holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Exeter.
Audrey Van Rensburg started her career at Genworth Financial in 2004 where she held a position as technical lead. In 2011, she joined AIG ascending to the role of Actuarial IT Manager, and working for the firm for four years. Van Rensburg holds a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Sciences from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
Hoskin will work primarily in the unit-linked issues life insurance side of Barnett Waddingham’s insurance offering in his new role as Associate. Van Rensburg will provide clients with advice on data analytics in the firm’s non-life team.
