Rebecca Fuller leads Fixed Asset Management EMEA at Duff & Phelps
International advisory firm Duff & Phelps has promoted Rebecca Fuller to Head of Fixed Asset Management and Insurance Solutions for the EMEA region. The division provides fixed asset inventory reconciliation management and property insurance appraisals.
Paul Barnes, Managing Director and Global Head of Valuation Advisory at Duff & Phelps, said, “Rebecca is extremely well known in the risk management, insurance broker and underwriting communities, and her industry knowledge has been vital to our team. With her vast expertise in these sectors and unwavering commitment to excellence, we’re confident that Rebecca will continue to form a valuable part of our future strategy and growth.”
Fuller has been with Duff & Phelps for six years, joining through the firm’s acquisition of American Appraisal in 2014. Before that, she had spent five years with American Appraisal, becoming Director and Head Of Business Development and Marketing in that time. Prior to this, Fuller was a member of Rushton International for six years – again becoming a Director in sales and marketing before seeking out a new challenge.
Looking ahead to her new challenge at Duff & Phelps, one of Fuller’s goals is to raise awareness of the need to regulate commercial building valuations to address the issue of underinsurance for businesses. According to the consultancy, tackling this problem would help close the insurance gap and provide greater certainty for insurance firms and their customers and prevent disputes. With underinsurance often close to 20% or more, many small and medium-sized businesses without big cash reserves could face bankruptcy should a catastrophic event occur.
In addition to her client work, Rebecca leads the Duff & Phelps Network of Women in London, whose mission is to attract, retain and develop women and encourage a diverse and inclusive team of colleagues. Alongside this new role, Fuller will also continue to serve as Head of Business Development for the service line in the UK and Middle East and will remain based in London.
Elsewhere in the firm in June, former Deloitte and RSM expert Rob Armstrong joined Duff & Phelps as a Managing Director in the firm’s Global Restructuring Advisory practice. With expertise in insolvency litigation, misfeasance and asset recovery, Armstrong brings more than 15 years of experience to the role.
