Deloitte partner Mo Habbas joins AlixPartners in London
AlixPartners expands Performance Improvement practice with new Managing Director, Mo Habbas. Habbas brings deep experience in the private equity market to the firm’s EMEA Performance Improvement practice and will be based in AlixPartners’ London office.
Value creation for private equity firms requires deploying proven techniques and tools to rapidly identify, quantify and deliver value across the entire value chain. When assisting clients in private equity, the value creation services of consulting firms must therefore be tailored to the type of situation at hand, such as acquisitions, divestments, transformations, or turnarounds. Amid the current coronavirus crisis and the market turbulence this has caused, providing effective performance improvement services is arguably more important than ever.
In order to boost its value creation offering to private equity clients, AlixPartners has appointed a new Managing Director to its EMEA Performance Improvement practice, based in London. Mo Habbas, an experienced consultant who has spent his career focusing on providing operational improvement support to private equity clients – such as Advent, Charterhouse and EQT – brings nearly 20 years of knowledge to the role.
An expert in delivering large and complex transformation across industries with specialisation in the TMT and industrial manufacturing sectors, Habbas spent the last four years at Deloitte, where he was a Partner and Head of Value Creation Services. That work also saw him provide operational due diligence before deals take place, as well as the delivery of value post deal. Earlier in his career, Habbas was a Senior Director with the professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal, and holds an MBA degree from INSEAD.
AlixPartners CEO Simon Freakley commented, “Mo’s strong track record in building trusted client relationships strongly complements our team’s existing capabilities and will play a key role in the rapid growth of our Performance Improvement services for the PE and corporate markets. We are very happy to welcome Mo to the firm.”
Since its launch in 1981, AlixPartners has become an international consultancy specialising in helping businesses address complex and critical challenges in the digital age. The firm’s clients include companies, corporate boards, law firms, investment banks, and private equity firms.
In preparation for a busy 2020, AlixPartners recently announced 17 promotions across the firm’s global network, including the promotion of three London-based advisors to the role of Managing Director.
