Birmingham-based consultancy Entec Si secures new contracts

Entec Si, a management and project management consulting firm from Birmingham, has secured four new contracts in recent months. The quadruple contract win sees the firm set to reach its target of 30% growth during the latest financial year.

Buoyed by a bumper 2018, Entec Si has kicked on with a steady year of growth in 2019. The IT consultancy based in Birmingham improved its turnover by almost £1 million in the 2018 financial year, participating in over 70 engagements, and announced plans to expand its headcount to continue that momentum in the near future.

Citing the recruitment of “people who are the right fit for the organisation’s culture… leading to happy clients”, Co-Founder Peter Marsden has since seen the firm welcome a number of experienced professionals. This ability to meet heightened demand seems to have boosted the order books at Entec Si, with four new projects ensuring the firm is on track to hit the 30% growth it targeted for 2019 before the end of its current financial year.

Firstly, Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust has add to Entec Si’s rapidly expanding portfolio, appointing the consultancy to support the implementation of its Electronic Patient Records System.
As part of the Trust’s digital plan, it is hoping to roll out a new electronic patient record named Unity, which according to its website requires large investment in capital, staff time and effort. The new system promises to provide clinicians with more time for patient care, as they are less reliant on paper systems and duplication of entries into multiple existing systems, while also reducing medication errors significantly.

Elsewhere, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has commissioned Entec Si to support a large IT transition as part of the transformation of Grade II-listed Hammersmith Town Hall into a modern public building. The plans for the building include the creation of a new cinema, genuinely affordable homes and a revitalised civic campus at the western end of King Street. The plans also include start-up space for the borough’s entrepreneurs, and a homework space for local schoolchildren.

Following a number of short projects and a competitive tender, meanwhile, Oxfordshire County Council has appointed Entec Si to develop an innovative ICT strategy. The ICT Strategy will be informed and supported by requirements based on information management, ICT security and digitalisation needs. It follows a similar four-year programme, set to expire at the end of 2019, which set out the local authority’s vision for its key ICT components of business services, information management, applications management, infrastructure and ICT security/operations offerings.

Finally, Entec Si has also won a Programme Assurance role for The National Lottery Community Fund in support of the implementation of its Grant Management System. Each year, the organisation invests hundreds of millions of pounds, raised through the sale of National Lottery tickets, in a range of community and heritage projects. The Grant Management System is vital for ensuring that the most worthwhile causes end up with funding from the well-known scheme.
