Staff, family and friends of Cambridge Consultants raised more than £5,900 for the firm’s charity of the year, Cambridge-based homelessness charity Wintercomfort. The firm has committed to matching the raised funds pound-for-pound.

Earlier this year, Cambridge Consultants, an independently operated subsidiary of Altran, took part in the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for Wintercomfort – the firm’s charity of the year. The product design and development firm, supported Wintercomfort through a team of 50 staff, family and friends taking part in the event.

A charity that supports those homeless or the vulnerably housed with a range of support mechanisms, Wintercomfort provides welfare services and learning and training opportunities to help get society’s less fortunate back on their feet. The charity’s welfare services include, among others, a free hot cooked breakfast for rough sleepers, as well as a range of key facilities, such as showers, laundry and clothes store facilities. The charity acts as a bridge, where appropriate, with agencies on housing, health and other issues. In addition, the charity provides a range of training and support initiatives, from skills to self-esteem.
