L.E.K. Consulting hires Strategy& partner Fernando Fernandes

L.E.K. Consulting has bolstered its South American practice with Fernando Fernandes, who joins from Strategy&, where he was a Partner. Fernandes takes on the role of Managing Director and Partner, and will, from the base in São Paulo, be responsible for further growing the firm’s Retail & Consumer Products practice within the region.

Prior to joining L.E.K. Consulting, Fernando Fernandes worked at Strategy& (and its legal predecessors Booz & Company and Booz Allen Hamilton) in Brazil as a Partner, since 2007, and a Vice President of its South American Consumer Products, Retail and Media industry practice, since 2008. Fernandes started at Booz Allen in 1997 as an Associate, rising to Senior Associate in 1999, before being promoted to Principal in 2003. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from Coppead UFRJ.

At L.E.K. Consulting, a global consulting firm with 21 offices in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe, Fernandes has been named a Managing Director and Partner, responsible for leadership in the firm’s Retail & Consumer Products practice in South America. Fernandes brings in more than 20 years of experience to the firm, and will be tasked with helping the firm further grow its Retail & Consumer Products practice. Fernandes will work from the firm’s São Paulo, which was launched in 2013.
