Clay Heskett re-elected as global managing partner of L.E.K. Consulting
Clay Heskett has been re-elected as global managing partner of L.E.K. Consulting, marking his second consecutive four-year term. Under his tenure, the firm has enjoyed continuous growth, and opened seven new offices globally – including Atlanta, Taipei and Zurich.
Founded in 1983, L.E.K. Consulting has more than 1,400 consultants and staff across offices in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and five in Europe – located in London, Zurich, Paris, Munich and Wroclaw. The global strategy consultancy working with business leaders, with an aim to help them “seize competitive advantage and amplify growth”.
Heskett first won election to global managing partner with the firm in 2021, at a time when the economy was recovering from the major shock of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the time, Heskett noted that “much of our work had broad impact” in that period, including helping “biotech innovators” to establish “a path to market for Covid-19 vaccines and position themselves to advance public health for years to come”.
While the broader consulting sector enjoyed growth due to similar work, those boom times did not last – and the sector finds itself in a sustained slowdown. However, according to L.E.K., the last four years have seen the firm enjoy significant growth and service line expansion, “positioning the firm for long-term success”.
Across a range of milestones under Heskett’s watch, the firm has strengthened core capabilities in operations, supply chain, pricing, digital, and data & analytics — helping clients thrive in an increasingly complex world and ensuring the firm continues to lead well into the future. As a result, Heskett has secured re-election to the top post, with partners backing him in the wake of strong performance and his vision for continued growth.
Heskett commented, “I am deeply honoured to have been re-elected as global managing partner. Whether navigating inflation, rate shocks, tariffs, geopolitical risk or AI disruption, L.E.K. is helping clients turn uncertainty into opportunity. At the heart of our success lies our partnership model and our people, whose intelligence, commitment to doing the best work and collaborative nature make them the very best in a competitive industry. And I am particularly proud of the firm’s partner expansion over the past four years, adding more than 50 partners from our strong internal pipeline as well as accomplished consulting professionals who want to join us in our mission to build a premier global strategy consultancy.”
Heskett joined L.E.K. in 2005 from Boston Consulting Group and was named partner two years later. He then served as head of L.E.K.’s European life sciences practice and head of its Europe region, based in London. Earlier in his career, he worked in technology development for Los Alamos National Laboratory.
