H&Z Group expands procurement technology capabilities with Jupitos acquisition
European consultancy H&Z has acquired Jupitos for an undisclosed fee. The move strengthens H&Z’s procurement technology and Ivalua implementation capabilities as demand for end-to-end procurement transformation continues to grow.
Founded in 1997, H&Z Management Consulting has since grown to be over 800 consultants in 14 countries, implementing over 3,500 successful projects along the way. As it looks to expand in the DACH region and beyond, it has added Jupitos to its group: one of Germany’s fastest-growing companies in procurement digitalisation.
H&Z is a firm specialising in strategy and performance, procurement, transformation, and sustainability services. The arrival of Jupitos takes its total headcount to more than 850 employees – and builds on a number of previous collaborations on client projects.
Joining forces will further strengthen H&Z’s capabilities to provide procurement services from strategy to digital implementation and AI deployment. Jupitos’ 25 professionals bring deep implementation expertise, particularly for the Ivalua procurement software platform. While Jupitos is currently focused on the DACH region, its Ivalua implementation work supports international and global programmes.
“Our clients expect more than strategy – they expect end-to-end implementation with strong functional and technical expertise. With Jupitos in the team, we take a big step forward to drive those skills also for the Ivalua platform,” said Harald Enz, managing partner at H&Z.
Looking ahead, Jupitos will retain its own branding. Meanwhile, the deal will help it offer clients a holistic set of services, from strategy to execution, with “stronger expertise, a broader international team, and a shared ambition to create measurable impact” for clients.
“The market is evolving fast and implementation demands are rising. In H&Z, we’ve found the right partner to scale – without compromising on quality or execution,” concluded Lukas Schillmeier, co-founder of Jupitos.
The transaction was supported by EMZ Partners, the long-term investor and growth partner of H&Z Group. H&Z was advised on the transaction by the investment banking boutique Altenried Etti & Co., the H&Z M&A team (commercial), Latham & Watkins (legal), Baker Tilly Germany (finance) and Treuhand Union (tax).
