Synechron launches ServiceNow arm following Calitii deal

Synechron has acquired London-based IT consultancy Calitii for an undisclosed fee. The move complements two other moves in the space, designed to propel Synechron to the head of the ServiceNow partner market.

"This is a pivotal moment in our growth journey," said Faisal Husain, CEO of Synechron. "The power of ServiceNow is incredible, and we are excited to help our customers unlock that value through the industry knowledge and engineering prowess of this new team."

ServiceNow is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform, which helps organisations to automate and manage digital workflows across different departments. The platform connects systems, applications, and people to streamline operations, and improve employee and customer experiences – with core functionalities including IT service management and operations management, as well as human resources service delivery.

Calitii brings deep experience architecting and delivering full-scale implementations of ServiceNow for the world’s largest banks.

Patrick O’Connor, CEO of Calitii, commented, "Calitii and Synechron speak the same language when it comes to helping banks innovate. Together with ServiceNow, we will bring clients an even wider set of capabilities to speed their AI adoptions."

As businesses around the world look to software providers like ServiceNow for support, their partners have become a hot commodity among the professional services industry. Illustrating why, through its purchases of Calitii in the UK, RapDev in the US, and India’s Waivgen, Synechron believes it is now positioned to lead the sector, with “the most comprehensive and globally scaled ServiceNow capabilities”.

While Synechron has traditionally focused on the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors, the new companies’ wide-ranging experience will help Synechron serve additional sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy and utilities, airlines, and more.

By combining the three firms under one umbrella, Synechron hopes to build the largest financial services-focused ServiceNow practice globally. The new business will leverage ServiceNow’s market-leading, cloud-based platform to help enterprises transform their workflows and integrate AI into essential aspects of their operations. Each also contributes a unique use of AI in their solutioning and delivery approach, including Waivgen’s extensive library of BFSI-focused agents to empower large banks, insurance firms, and global financial services organisations to harness the power of AI.

A number of professional services firms supported the dealmaking process on each occasion. RapDev was represented by Canaccord Genuity, Calitii was represented by Raymond James, and Waivgen was represented by Tura Advisory.
