RSM named supplier on multiple UK public sector frameworks
Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has been named on three major government frameworks, following significant investment in its public sector practice. This includes becoming the latest consultancy added to the MCF4 framework.
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2023/24, the CCS says it helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £4.9 billion – aiming to provide public services that offer value for taxpayers.
As it looks to continue that work, it has named audit and advisory firm RSMas a supplier on include the audit and assurance services two (A&AS2) framework. This featured lots one for internal audit and assurance; two for external audit; three for counter fraud investigation; and four for other independent assurance.
RSM was also named in the Management Consultancy Services Framework Four (MCF4) framework, on lots two for strategy and policy; three for complex transformation; four for finance; and ten for restructuring and insolvency. The firm joins fellow consultancies WSP and Guidehouse on that list.
The CCS Management Consultancy Framework Four (MCF4) officially opened for tenders at the start of 2024. Replacing the previous MCF3 framework, this iteration aims to provide streamlined access to high-quality consultancy services for the public sector, with a focus on enhanced value, clear deliverables, and flexible supplier options.
In addition, RSM was reappointed to the NHS SBS Audit Services for Health framework (SBS10517) on lots two for internal audit services; three for counter fraud services; four for well-led reviews; five for audit and governance ancillary services; and six for independent workplace investigations.
Growing public sector expertise
RSM’s public sector practice which has expanded by over 30% in the past two years, including the strategic hire of Alessandra Raja. She joined the business transformation team last year from PA Consulting where she built and led a team that specialised in end-to-end finance consulting for complex public sector programmes.
