Menzies acquires Beever and Struthers to form 1,000-strong firm
Professional services firms Menzies and Beever and Struthers have announced a merger. The alignment of the two brands creates a new national player with a combined fee income of £110 million.

Founded in 1912, Menzies delivers a full range of accountancy and advisory services, including audit, tax, accounts advisory, financial planning, and transaction support. With specialisms spanning ten key sectors, Menzies works with a diverse client base ranging from fast-growth businesses to complex corporates and high-net-worth individuals.
Beever and Struthers is a firm of chartered accountants, business advisors and leading audit providers, with over 100 years of experience, 18 expert partners, and a national client base. In addition, Beever and Struthers brings an established reputation in strategic advisory services to housing providers, public sector bodies, educational institutions, and social enterprises across the UK. Its integration strengthens the combined firm’s public sector credentials and social impact capabilities at a national scale.

Menzies, headquartered in London, and Beever and Struthers in Manchester, also now have access to a network of offices in Birmingham, Cardiff and across the South East. As the new entity significantly expands its regional reach and sector strength, the move will be the biggest deal in Menzies’ history – boosting headcount from around 700 to over 1,000. They will operate under the unified branding of Menzies.

The deal also comes at a time of significant consolidation in the professional services space. As firms face a slowing of demand across the sector, many mid-market and boutique firms are looking to join forces for future success.
