Evolve Corporate Finance relocates to new office in Birmingham

M&A advisory firm Evolve Corporate Finance has relocated to new premises in Birmingham City Centre. As the professional services company looks to boost growth, it has moved to the Arca building.

Evolve Corporate Finance works with owner-managed businesses, providing a range of M&A advisory services, nationally and internationally. In the last 12 months, the firm has advised on a range of high-profile deals in the West Midlands in particular, alongside several international transactions, including the sales of Nortech Management  to Swedish Nasdaq-listed Vestum, and Avon Freight Group to Ireland-based Primeline Group.

After three years of expansion since its launch, and as it prepares for further growth in 2025 and to recruit new talent, Evolve has decided that the time is right to upgrade its office in Birmingham.

According to Jonathan Wright, partner at Evolve Corporate Finance, the move will “provide us with additional space to expand our team”.

Wright continued, “Evolve has enjoyed a strong 12 months, having concluded nine transactions across sectors including logistics, energy infrastructure, engineering and manufacturing. The move to the Arca building is a key part of our continued investment in the firm.”

David Neate, partner at Evolve Corporate Finance, added, “Since we launched the firm in 2022, we have delivered growth year-on-year despite a difficult M&A market. In a short space of time, we have built a strong team and brand that is recognised as one of the go-to M&A advisory firms for owner-managed businesses. This latest development is another exciting step for us, and we look forward to welcoming our clients and network into the new office.”

West Midlands

The West Midlands’ broad, full-service business ecosystem and critical mass of global corporates played an important part in drawing the consultancy to Birmingham. The region is home to the largest business, professional and financial services cluster outside of London, with a projected value of £50 billion per annum by 2030.

The region also boasts a rich vein of talent which has regularly attracted new, international arrivals from the consulting industry. EY recently announced it had opened a new locale in Birmingham’s Paradise complex, alongside international accounting and advisory firm Forvis Mazars, which took a spot at Two Chamberlain Square. Engineering consultancy Arup also revamped its Birmingham presence at the locale. And Big Four rival PwC also moved its 2,000 Birmingham staff into a new office at One Chamberlain Square in 2020.

The technology hubs of Birmingham and Manchester also offer much of what London has – but for a fraction of the price when it comes to founding an office. Office fit-outs in Birmingham were recently found to be £1,713 less expensive per square metre, while prices fell by £1,854 in Manchester. And in Edinburgh and Glasgow, fit-outs were almost £2,000 cheaper.
