Interpath launches new asset tracing and complex investigations
As it looks to grow its consulting capabilities after a year of rapid expansion, Interpath Advisory has launched a new asset-tracing and complex investigations team. Robert Capper has been appointed as head of the team.
Interpath has been enjoying solid growth in the last year, with operating profits booming by some 300%. Among the driving forces of this improvement has been a growing emphasis on consulting work, with advisory capabilities expanding at pace, and recording revenues of £41.8 million – a 55.4% rise against the previous financial year, and cementing Interpath’s standing as a multi-disciplinary, financial advisory business.
Building on this momentum, the firm has launched a new asset-tracing and complex investigations team, as part of Interpath’s continued emphasis on its global advisory capabilities. The team will support clients with specialist, business-critical engagements. Led by new recruit Robert Capper, it will work closely with Interpath’s contentious insolvency and forensics teams in international and offshore markets to aid the identification and recovery of assets, and assist with a range of challenging international commercial investigations.
Russell Worrall, head of advisory at Interpath, said, “Robert is a truly world-class leader in asset tracing and complex investigations work. He’ll bring an incredible amount of experience and expertise that will complement our proposition across our international network, and help create one of the few truly unified asset tracing and recovery propositions in the market.”
Capper joins from Ankura Consulting, where he established and led the asset-tracing and commercial investigations team. Prior to that, he formally worked at litigation funder Burford Capital, after beginning his career with eight years working for the British Intelligence Services.
Commenting on his appointment, Capper added, “It’s a privilege to join Interpath and to have the opportunity to build this team, which will support the exceptional expansion story of the firm. This department intersects with many of the existing service lines at Interpath and so I’m also looking forward to standing alongside many of the exceptional practitioners that I’ve already worked closely with in my career.”
