Crowe appoints two new partners to corporate audit team
Two new partners have been appointed to the corporate audit team at Crowe. Kate Stent and Matt Daniels have brought a combined half-century of experience to the firm’s partnership, and will be based in the Thames Valley.
Crowe is a national audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm offering global reach and local expertise, and is the ninth largest audit firm in the UK by fee income, according to the Financial Reporting Council. The firm is expanding rapidly in the Thames Valley in particular – and recently launched a new office in Reading. As it looks to build on that momentum, Crowe has welcomed two new partners to the region.
Nigel Bostock, chief executive officer at Crowe UK commented, “Our strategic vision for the Thames Valley office has seen the firm grow substantially over the last few years as we have doubled our business in the region and moved the team to exciting new offices. Kate Stent joins Crowe’s Thames Valley office with 30 years of experience in corporate audit. With a wealth of expertise in delivering corporate audits, she has worked on a wide variety of clients from smaller privately owned companies to large subsidiaries of overseas groups. She also has experience working with and supporting the growth of private equity backed businesses – and spent the last 24 years with PwC, where she was a director in assurance.

Matt Daniels has meanwhile been promoted to partner in corporate audit, with over 20 years of experience providing audit and accountancy support to businesses across a multitude of industries, from technology and retail to distribution and manufacturing. He has been with Crowe since 2007, and has gained extensive experience with both UK GAAP and IFRS clients over that time. He also has an array of experience working with owner-managed businesses, private equity backed businesses and large international groups.
Daniels concluded, “I am proud to have played a part in the growth of the Thames Valley office in recent years, and I am delighted to be joining the partnership.
