Audit and advisory firm Crowe has continued its growth in the South East of England, with the launch of a new office in Reading. The locale will see Crowe reaffirm its long-term commitment to the town and the region.

Crowe UK CEO Nigel Bostock said, “Our strategic vision has seen the firm grow substantially over the last few years, spurring us to find an outstanding office space which supports our people and long-term business growth in Reading and the wider Thames Valley region.”

According to Bostock, the combination of a highly educated talent pool, strong transport connections and an innovative economy with close links to London’s finance, energy, technology, pharmaceutical companies make Reading stand out as a location. This is why Crowe believes “the town is great place for business and an economic powerhouse of the South East.”

The news sees Crowe’s Thames Valley wing relocate to Reading’s prestigious ‘R+’ building. Necessitated by a doubling of business for Crowe’s Reading team, the new locale is a 13,000 square-foot space on the fifth floor of the building.

The office has also seen substantial growth across all other aspects of its business including auditing, tax and financial planning and business solutions for corporates, pension schemes, not for profit clients and professional practices alike. The firm already employs over 50 graduates and apprentices in its Thames Valley office as part of its Early Years recruitment, and the new office will also enable it to welcome more trainees, including those through its established workplace secondment scheme and the 10,000 Black Interns programme.

Jeremy Cooper, Reading Office Managing Partner, added, “We’re delighted on our relocation to the prestigious R+ building. This is an exciting move for Crowe and demonstrates our continued commitment in providing excellent support to our people and growing client base in the Thames Valley region and creates the best environment from which to drive our business forward for the future. Securing the large top floor creates a more spacious, sustainable and modern workspace allowing our people to thrive, collaborate and meet clients, while also being conveniently situated opposite the train station in heart of the town centre to support our hybrid working policies.”

Earlier in the summer, Crowe also added to its strength in the South East, by acquiring accounting firm Dendy Neville. The move expands Crowe’s presence in Kent, with the purchase welcoming three new partners as part of the move.
